# Return users to Stripe

Give users a clear path back to the Stripe Dashboard after your app sends them to another site.

If your app sends users from the Dashboard to your own site, for example to sign in or finish setup, give them a clear way to return to Stripe. [Choose the return target](https://docs.stripe.com/stripe-apps/patterns/redirects.md#choose-where-to-return-users) according to how your app appears in the Dashboard.

## Suggested use

- Use a call-to-action button to [return users to the view](https://docs.stripe.com/stripe-apps/patterns/redirects.md#choose-where-to-return-users) of the Stripe Dashboard where they resume their workflow within the same tab.
- Make sure to set the correct context so users know exactly what’s next.
- Make sure the external flow is always visually consistent with the Stripe app you’re building. For example:

## Choose where to return users

Point the call-to-action button to the view that matches your app:

- **Drawer**: If your app opens in a drawer on a Dashboard page, such as **Customers**, return users to that page with your app’s drawer open. To create the URL, see [drawer and modal deep links](https://docs.stripe.com/stripe-apps/deep-links.md#drawer-and-modal-views).
- **Full-page view**: If your app has a [full-page view](https://docs.stripe.com/stripe-apps/patterns/full-page-apps.md), return users to the route where they continue, such as your overview tab. To create the URL, see [full-page deep links](https://docs.stripe.com/stripe-apps/deep-links.md#full-page-views).
