App review requirements changelog
Track updates to the requirements for the app review process.
Use the following changelog to track changes to the requirements needed to publish your app.
February 3, 2025 
New requirements:
- Apps must declare support for installing in a sandbox in the app manifest to enable sandbox support.
October 31, 2022
New requirements:
- Use the same app name for both the app listing and app manifest.
- Include any obvious app limitations in the app description (for example, the app doesn’t work in specific countries).
- Always submit new app versions from the same account. If this isn’t possible, you must contact Stripe Support to find alternatives.
- Create a clear path for users to unauthenticate the app from within the Stripe Dashboard UI.
- All links and buttons that redirect to an external URL must use the external icon.
Removed requirement:
- Apps need to have a cancel catch in the settings page.
