Learn about Vipps, a common payment method in Norway.
Vipps is a single-use card wallet payment method used in Norway. It allows customers to authenticate and approve payments using a companion smartphone application.
Customers pay with Vipps by redirecting from your website, authorizing the payment, then returning to your website where you get immediate notification about whether the payment succeeded or failed.
Payment flow 
Customers enter their phone number linked with Vipps and receive a push notification on their Vipps app to authorize the payment.

Disputes
Vipps has a claims process that allows transaction disputes. Customers can open disputes directly with their card issuer for cases of suspected fraud, double payments, or a difference between an order and a transaction amount.
Refunds
Vipps supports full and partial refunds.
Restricted business categories
In addition to the categories of businesses restricted from using Stripe, the following business categories can’t use Vipps:
- Cryptocurrencies (Restricted)
- Stock trade
- Gambling
- Betting
- Bonds
- Money transfers
- Debt collection
- Multi-level marketing and pyramid schemes
