When to register for tax collection

Sellers who exceed the 100,000 USD threshold and the transaction number threshold must register for a Michigan sales tax permit, collect sales tax on sales that ship to Michigan, and remit that sales tax to the state.
Stripe considers that you crossed the threshold if either one of the specified conditions are met (total revenue or number of transactions).

Register to collect tax

After you’ve registered to collect tax in Michigan, go to Registrations to add your registrations to Stripe in the Dashboard. This turns on tax calculation and collection in Stripe for your transactions in Michigan.

Filing
