Installing the Salesforce Billing Extension

Learn how to install Salesforce Billing extension

Before you begin

Before installing the Salesforce Billing extension, you must install the following:

Install the Stripe app for Salesforce Platform

Follow the steps in the Stripe app for Salesforce Platform installation guide.

Install Salesforce CPQ

  1. Apply the Salesforce CPQ License permission and set the license to the user who installs the package in your organization.
  2. Navigate to the Salesforce Quote-to-Cash website, scroll down to the Salesforce CPQ package installation links, and select the most recent release. If you’re installing into a sandbox environment, click the Sandbox link. If you’re installing it into a production environment, click the Production link. You might see a prompt to log into your Salesforce organization if you haven’t logged in previously.
  3. Make sure that Install for All Users is selected and click Install.
  4. You need to approve access to and from third-party websites. Check the Grant Access checkbox, and click Continue.
  5. After completing the installation, navigate to Setup > Apps > Packaging > Installed Packages and click Configure in Salesforce CPQ.
  6. Select the Pricing and Calculation tab and click Authorize new calculation service.
  7. To enable multiple orders, navigate to the Order tab, select the Allow Multiple Orders checkbox, and set the Default Order Start Date to Quote Start Date.
  8. Click Save to save your configuration.

Install Salesforce Billing

  1. Navigate to the Salesforce Quote-to-Cash webiste, scroll down to the Salesforce Billing package installation links, and select the most recent release. If you’re installing it into a sandbox environment, click the Sandbox link, and if you’re installing it into a production environment, click the Production link. You might see a prompt to log into your Salesforce organization if you haven’t done so already.
  2. Make sure Install for All Users is selected, and click Install.
  3. After completing the installation, verify it in Setup > Apps > Packaging > Installed Packages.

Install the Salesforce Billing Extension

After you’ve installed the prerequisites, install the Salesforce Billing Extension unmanaged package from github.

  1. Make sure that you’ve only selected Install for Admins Only, and click Install.
  2. In the third-party access dialog, check the Grant Access checkbox and click Continue.
  3. When the installation completes, you receive a confirmation email.
  4. Navigate to Setup > Apps > Packaging > Installed Packages and verify that the package is installed.
