Additional ID number types in Accounts v2Public preview

What’s new

Accounts v2 now supports 29 additional types of identification numbers that can be provided on a v2 account.

For businesses, Accounts v2 now supports the following ID numbers:

  • ao_nif (Angola - Número de Identificação Fiscal)
  • az_tin (Azerbaijan - Tax Identification Number)
  • bd_etin (Bangladesh - Electronic Tax Identification Number)
  • cr_cpj (Costa Rica - Cédula de Persona Jurídica)
  • cr_nite (Costa Rica - Número de Indetificación Tributario Especial)
  • do_rcn (Dominican Republic - Registro Nacional del Contribuyente)
  • gt_nit (Guatemala - Número de Identificación Tributaria)
  • kz_bin (Kazakhstan - Business Identification Number)
  • mz_nuit (Mozambique - Taxpayer Single ID Number)
  • pe_ruc (Peru - Registro Único de Contribuyentes)
  • pk_ntn (Pakistan - National Tax Number)
  • sa_crn (Saudi Arabia - Commercial Registration Number)
  • sa_tin (Saudi Arabia - Tax Identification Number)

For individuals, Accounts v2 now supports the following ID numbers:

  • kz_iin (Kazakhstan - Individual Identification Number)

Impact

You can now fulfill Accounts v2 ID number requirements in more countries.

Upgrade

  1. View your current API version in Workbench.
  2. If you use an SDK, upgrade to the corresponding SDK version for this API version.
    • If you don’t use an SDK, update your API requests to include Stripe-Version: 2025-08-27.preview
  3. Upgrade the API version used for webhook endpoints.
  4. Test your integration against the new version.
  5. If you use Connect, test your Connect integration.
  6. In Workbench, perform the upgrade. You can roll back the version for 72 hours.
