When to register for tax collection

Sellers that meet the sales threshold must register for a Louisiana sales tax permit, collect sales tax on sales that ship to Louisiana addresses, and remit that sales tax to the state.
Before 1 August 2023, remote sellers also had economic nexus if they had 200 or more transactions in Louisiana. That requirement has been removed.

Location reports
Location reports offer a summary of transaction and refund data for specific US locations and align with Louisiana filing requirements. You have the option to report on a quarterly or monthly basis.
Filing
