Threshold and registration for Aruba
Remote sellers providing digital goods or electronically supplied services (digital products) to Aruban customers must register for sales tax purposes if there is at least one transaction of digital goods and services provided to private individuals in Aruba within a period of 12 months. Sales to business customers in Aruba don’t trigger any tax registration obligations because non-resident businesses aren’t required to collect tax on these sales.
Supported calculations for Aruba
In Aruba, Stripe supports collecting three types of taxes on digital services:
- Turnover Tax or Revenue Tax (Belasting over bedrijfsomzetten, BBO)
- Tax on Additional Provision for Public and Private Projects (Belasting additionele voorziening PPS-projecten, BAVP)
- Health Tax (Bestemmingsheffing AZV, BAZV)
Because these all follow the same rules, they are collectively referred to as sales tax in Stripe. To collect these taxes on Stripe, you must be a remote seller without a physical presence in the country.
