# Reserve releases report

See when Stripe releases funds held in reserve to your balance.

The [Reserve releases report](https://dashboard.stripe.com/reports/reserves) shows when Stripe is scheduled to release each amount it holds in reserve on your account to your available balance. It appears in the Dashboard only if your account holds funds in reserve.

Use the report controls to change what data it contains:

- **Date range**: The report defaults to the next 30 days of scheduled releases. You can extend the end date, but you can’t select a start date in the past.
- **Time zone**: Show dates in your account’s time zone or in UTC. Each release is scheduled for midnight UTC, so it can fall on a different date in each time zone.
- **Currency**: Show a single currency instead of all of them. The list includes only the currencies with releases in your date range.

Each row shows the total scheduled for release on one date, in one currency. Amounts Stripe already released aren’t included. Reserved funds also count toward your total balance on the [Balances page](https://dashboard.stripe.com/balance), which doesn’t show release dates.

> Each amount is scheduled but not guaranteed. Stripe can use reserved funds before their release date to cover refunds, disputes, or a negative balance, so an amount you see today can be smaller by its release date.

## Download data 

To download the report as a CSV file, click **Export**. The file matches the rows on screen, including your date range and currency. Dates and times in the exported file are always in UTC, regardless of the time zone selected in the report.

## Data availability 

Stripe processes your reserve data daily, starting at 00:00 UTC. Processing can take up to 12 hours. For example, the data snapshot taken at 00:00 UTC on September 16, 2025 is available in the **Reserve releases** report by 12:00 UTC the same day.

New reserves and recent releases can take up to a day to appear. The report shows when its data was last updated and when to expect the next update.

The following columns are available in this report.

### Reserve Hold Release Schedule

| currency | ✓ | Three-letter currency code for the expected release amount. |
| release_date | ✓ | UTC date on which the reserve holds are expected to begin release processing. |
| scheduled_release_amount | ✓ | Total amount expected to be released on this date, in major units of the currency. |
