Activity breakdown
View your data from summary totals to individual transaction details.
View your financial report data from summary totals to individual transaction details in the Stripe Dashboard. Filter and analyse transactions instead of downloading CSV files. Use activity breakdown for:
- Transaction reconciliation: Understand the specific transactions that contribute to summary totals.
- Audit preparation: Provide detailed transaction history for accounting periods.
- Customer analysis: Analyse payment patterns and activity for specific customers.
- Financial reporting: Support detailed financial analysis and reporting requirements.

Before you begin
Activity breakdown is only available for platform account reports.
Access activity breakdown
Access activity breakdown by clicking amounts in the following reports to audit the underlying transactions that contribute to account balances and changes:
- Balance summary: Click amounts in the Balance change from activity section.
- Payout reconciliation: Click amounts in the Payout reconciliation and Ending balance reconciliation sections.
Activity breakdown automatically inherits the date range and currency from the report you’re navigating from.
Key features
Activity breakdown provides the following features to help you analyse your transaction data.
Filter
Filter transaction-level activity to focus your analysis on specific subsets of data:
- Customer: Focus on activity from specific customers using search functionality to find customers by name, email or ID.
- Payment method: Filter by payment method type to analyse transactions by how customers paid.
- Country: View transactions from specific countries to understand geographic payment patterns.
- Products: Analyse activity for specific products or services to understand product-specific transaction patterns.
Export
Download detailed reports in CSV format. If pagination limits the display, the export still includes the full dataset.
- Click Download to export the filtered data as a CSV file.
- The export includes all transactions matching your current filters, not just the visible page.
Customise columns
Customise which columns display in your view using Edit columns. Your column preferences apply to the on-screen view. For exports, column selection is available similar to itemised reports.
Available columns
The available columns vary depending on the report you select.
