# UnionPay

Accept UnionPay card payments, including Apple Pay payments on the web.

## Apple Pay support 

Eligible businesses can accept UnionPay through Apple Pay on the web only. Support includes mobile web on compatible devices and browsers, and desktop Safari.

Stripe automatically configures the UnionPay request capabilities, including `supportsEMV`, for eligible businesses using:

This also applies to a custom checkout UI that uses a Stripe-managed wallet request.

### Advanced: custom Apple Pay requests 

If your integration constructs its own Apple Pay request, configure eligible UnionPay payments as follows:

- Include `chinaUnionPay` in `supportedNetworks`.
- Add `supportsEMV` to `merchantCapabilities` when the final `supportedNetworks` list includes `chinaUnionPay`, after applying all eligibility and flow restrictions. If `chinaUnionPay` is absent from `supportedNetworks`, omit `supportsEMV` from `merchantCapabilities`.
- Retain `supports3DS` and any existing credit or debit funding capabilities.

### Limitations

UnionPay through Apple Pay doesn’t support setup-only flows, such as collecting a payment method through a `SetupIntent` without a payment.
