Use Managed Payments to have Stripe act as your merchant of record
A merchant of record is the legal entity responsible for facilitating the sale of products to a customer and for following applicable local laws and regulations. When you act as your own merchant of record, you’re responsible for registering for and remitting tax to local authorities, accepting payments, handling fraud and disputes, order fulfillment, and customer support for transactions.
You can use Managed Payments to have Stripe act as your merchant of record. Stripe manages global tax compliance (sales, VAT, GST), fraud protection, dispute handling, fulfillment, and transaction level customer support for you.

During the private preview, Managed Payments supports subscription payments for digital products through Stripe Checkout in eligible countries.
