# Domains and IP addresses

Ensure your integration is always communicating with Stripe.

You can subscribe to the [API announce mailing list](https://groups.google.com/a/lists.stripe.com/g/api-announce) to be notified of any changes to our IP addresses. We provide seven days’ notice through that mailing list before making changes.

Your integration must be able to reach any Stripe fully qualified [domain names](https://docs.stripe.com/ips.md#stripe-domains) for it to function properly. Depending on how your integration operates, you might need to add them to an allowlist.

To help your integration operate securely, you can use one of our listed [IP addresses](https://docs.stripe.com/ips.md#ip-addresses) to verify that it’s communicating with **api.stripe.com**.

If your integration also receives [webhooks](https://docs.stripe.com/webhooks.md) from us, make sure these events originate from a Stripe [webhook IP address](https://docs.stripe.com/ips.md#webhook-notifications).
