# Stripe profiles

Create and manage a public identity for your business on Stripe.

With a Stripe profile, businesses can find, verify and connect with each other on Stripe.

A Stripe profile lets you:

- Become discoverable to other businesses and agents.
- Publish selected charts and metrics.
- [Make your checkout agent-ready](https://docs.stripe.com/agentic-commerce/sellers/use-cases/retail.md).

> Stripe profiles aren’t available in India.

## Create your profile

1. In the Dashboard, go to **[Stripe profile](https://dashboard.stripe.com/profiles)**, then click **Get started**.
2. Add your business display name.
3. Add a profile handle (example: `@stripe`). Handles always start with `@`, and are used to uniquely identify your business across Stripe. We recommend you choose something short and easy to type.
4. (Optional) Add additional information about your business, such as a description, logo, website and contact information.
5. Click **Create profile**.

## Edit your profile

1. In the Dashboard, go to **[Stripe profile settings](https://dashboard.stripe.com/settings/profile)** and make your changes.
2. Click **Save details**.

## Where your public profile appears

If your profile is public, it appears in these places:

- Your Stripe profile page (example: **profile.stripe.com/@stripe)**
- [Dashboard search](https://docs.stripe.com/dashboard/search.md)
- Stripe-generated [invoices](https://docs.stripe.com/invoicing.md)
- [Stripe Directory](https://docs.stripe.com/directory.md), accessed through the Stripe CLI (no login required)

> When linking to your Stripe profile page, be sure to include the required `@` symbol with your handle.

### Make your profile private

Private profiles don’t appear in search results. Your **profile.stripe.com** page remains accessible.

To make your profile private:

1. In the Dashboard, go to the **[Stripe profile privacy settings](https://dashboard.stripe.com/settings/profile/privacy)**
2. Turn on **Private Stripe profile**.

## Add a Payment Link

Other businesses on Stripe can pay you directly if you add a [Payment Link](https://docs.stripe.com/payment-links/create.md#get-started) to your profile. The link must be active and must use the **Customers choose what to pay** model.

To add a payment link to your profile, follow these steps:

1. In the Stripe Dashboard, go to your [Stripe profile](https://dashboard.stripe.com/settings/profile#paymentLink) settings page.
2. Select a previously created eligible payment link or create a new one.
3. Click **Save details**.

## Share your strong subscriber retention indicator

The `strong subscriber retention` indicator reflects your business’s subscriber churn rate compared with similar businesses on Stripe. Qualifying businesses can display it on their public Stripe profile.

To be evaluated, your business must meet these requirements:

- Use Stripe Billing for fixed-price subscriptions.
- Have at least 100 active subscribers.
- Have at least 6 completed months of subscriber churn data.
- Belong to a qualifying [Billing Analytics peer group](https://docs.stripe.com/billing/subscriptions/analytics/benchmarking.md).
- Your churn rate is at or below the 10th percentile of your peer group and enough data exists for a reliable comparison.
- Have a standalone Stripe account or Standard connected account.

Stripe evaluates your trailing subscriber churn rate monthly. You earn the indicator after three consecutive qualifying evaluations. Stripe removes it after two consecutive non-qualifying evaluations.

### Managing indicator visibility

Sharing is off by default. To make indicators visible on your profile:

1. In the Stripe Dashboard, go to [Stripe profile overview settings](https://dashboard.stripe.com/settings/profile) and enable **Show indicators**.
2. Click **Save details**.

Stripe evaluates only activity measurable through Stripe Billing, and your Billing Analytics configuration can affect results.
