# Alternative verification methods for ACH View alternative options for verifying bank accounts for ACH payments. You can verify bank accounts for ACH Direct Debits using Stripe Financial Connections, microdeposits, or a third-party verification service. We recommend Financial Connections, as it provides instant verification that helps maximize conversion and ACH payment success. Microdeposits are a fallback option for accounts that can’t be verified instantly, and third-party services can be used if you have an existing verification workflow outside of Stripe. ## Financial Connections (Recommended) Use Financial Connections to instantly verify accounts, comply with Nacha requirements, and manage payment risk using data. It also supports a fallback to microdeposits through manual entry of account and routing numbers for customers who don’t verify instantly. See the [Financial Connections](https://docs.stripe.com/financial-connections.md) to configure bank account verification and access additional account data to optimize your ACH integration. This method is slower than instant verification because deposits can take 1–2 business days to appear and the customer must check their account and confirm the amounts. If you use a third-party provider, you’re solely responsible for collecting, storing, and managing customers’ ACH mandates, complying with Nacha requirements, and protecting any account data you collect. You must provide Stripe with accurate and complete [mandate](https://docs.stripe.com/payments/ach-direct-debit.md#mandates) information.
