# Adds support for the SeQura payment method for invoices and subscriptions

## What’s new

Adds `sequra` as a supported value for the [payment_settings.payment_method_types](https://docs.stripe.com/api/invoices/create.md?api-version=2026-10-28.endive#create-payment_settings-payment_method_types) parameter on [Invoices](https://docs.stripe.com/api/invoices.md?api-version=2026-10-28.endive) and [Subscriptions](https://docs.stripe.com/api/subscriptions.md?api-version=2026-10-28.endive).

## Impact

You can now accept payments with [SeQura](https://docs.stripe.com/payments/sequra.md), a buy now, pay later (BNPL) payment method for customers in Spain.

To let your customers pay in installments, integrate SeQura into your invoices and subscriptions that use the `send_invoice` [collection method](https://docs.stripe.com/api/invoices/object.md?api-version=2026-10-28.endive#invoice_object-collection_method). Because SeQura is a single-use payment method, customers must complete the authorization flow on the hosted invoice page for each invoice. You can’t save SeQura for future payments or use it with `charge_automatically`. See [Configure payment methods for invoices](https://docs.stripe.com/invoicing/payment-methods.md) for setup instructions.
