# Adds deposit insurance eligibility details to Financial Accounts ## What’s new Adds a new includable [deposit_insurance_eligibility](https://docs.stripe.com/api/v2/money-management/financial-accounts/object.md?api-version=2026-09-30.preview#v2_financial_account_object-storage-deposit_insurance_eligibility) property to the [storage](https://docs.stripe.com/api/v2/money-management/financial-accounts/object.md?api-version=2026-09-30.preview#v2_financial_account_object-storage) hash on the [v2 Financial Account](https://docs.stripe.com/api/v2/money-management/financial-accounts/object.md?api-version=2026-09-30.preview) object. This property is an array that describes deposit insurance eligibility for funds held in the account: the bank where funds are stored, the currencies eligible for deposit insurance, and the type of insurance (such as FDIC or FDIC pass-through). The property isn’t returned by default. To include it, pass `storage.deposit_insurance_eligibility` as a value in the [include](https://docs.stripe.com/api/v2/money-management/financial-accounts/retrieve.md?api-version=2026-09-30.preview#v2_retrieve_financial_accounts-include) parameter when you [retrieve](https://docs.stripe.com/api/v2/money-management/financial-accounts/retrieve.md?api-version=2026-09-30.preview#v2_retrieve_financial_accounts-include) or [list](https://docs.stripe.com/api/v2/money-management/financial-accounts/list.md?api-version=2026-09-30.preview#v2_list_financial_accounts-include) v2 Financial Accounts. ## Impact You can now determine the deposit insurance eligibility of a [v2 Financial Account](https://docs.stripe.com/api/v2/money-management/financial-accounts/object.md?api-version=2026-09-30.preview) by passing `storage.deposit_insurance_eligibility` as a value in the [include](https://docs.stripe.com/api/v2/money-management/financial-accounts/retrieve.md?api-version=2026-09-30.preview#v2_retrieve_financial_accounts-include) parameter. This identifies the bank holding the funds, the deposit insurance scheme, and which currencies are eligible for coverage.
