# Adds mode property and promotion feed type support to the Product Catalog Import API v2

## What’s new

Adds the [mode](https://docs.stripe.com/api/v2/commerce/product-catalog-imports/object.md?api-version=2026-06-24.dahlia#v2_product_catalog_import_object-mode) property to the [Product Catalog Import v2](https://docs.stripe.com/api/v2/commerce/product-catalog-imports/object.md?api-version=2026-06-24.dahlia) object. This property returns the import mode that was used when the import was created, either `replace` or `upsert`.

Also adds support for setting [feed_type](https://docs.stripe.com/api/v2/commerce/product-catalog-imports/object.md?api-version=2026-06-24.dahlia#v2_product_catalog_import_object-feed_type) to `promotion`. You can now import promotional data feeds, including discounts and offers, alongside your existing product catalog data.

## Impact

You can now read the `mode` property on the Product Catalog Import object to determine whether an import used `replace` or `upsert` mode so you can distinguish between imports when reviewing their results.

You can also create Product Catalog Imports v2 with the `promotion` feed type to centralize your promotional data in the same import workflow you use for products, without requiring a separate integration path.
