# Adds configurable trial offers for subscription items

## What’s new

Adds the ability to create and manage trial offers for subscription items using the new [Trial Offers](https://docs.stripe.com/api/product-catalog/trial-offer.md?api-version=2026-03-25.preview) API. You can specify a [price](https://docs.stripe.com/api/product-catalog/trial-offer/object.md?api-version=2026-03-25.preview#product_catalog_trial_offer_object-price) to use during the trial and a price to use after the trial. You can also define a Trial Offer’s [duration](https://docs.stripe.com/api/product-catalog/trial-offer/object.md?api-version=2026-03-25.preview#product_catalog_trial_offer_object-duration) by setting an ending timestamp or by specifying a number of price intervals.

Adds the ability to assign a Trial Offer to a Subscription Item and, if applicable, specify a trial ending timestamp on the Subscription Item using the new [current_trial](https://docs.stripe.com/api/subscription_items/create.md?api-version=2026-03-25.preview#create_subscription_item-current_trial) parameter.

Also adds the ability to control whether a subscription’s billing cycle anchor resets at the end of a trial period by setting the new [trial_settings.end_behavior.billing_cycle_anchor](https://docs.stripe.com/api/subscriptions/create.md?api-version=2026-03-25.preview#create_subscription-trial_settings-end_behavior-billing_cycle_anchor) parameter.
