Adds account holder information to Financial Address credentials for US bank accountsPublic preview

What’s new

Adds the account_holder_name and account_holder_address properties to the us_bank_account object in the Financial Addresses API. The account_holder_name property is a string value representing the name of the person or business that owns the bank account. The account_holder_address property is an address object containing the address information of the account holder.

Impact

You can now provide more detailed information about US bank account holders when working with financial addresses. This additional information helps ensure accurate account identification and can support compliance requirements for financial transactions.

Upgrade

  1. View your current API version in Workbench.
  2. If you use an SDK, upgrade to the corresponding SDK version for this API version.
    • If you don’t use an SDK, update your API requests to include Stripe-Version: 2026-01-28.preview
  3. Upgrade the API version used for webhook endpoints.
  4. Test your integration against the new version.
  5. If you use Connect, test your Connect integration.
  6. In Workbench, perform the upgrade. You can roll back the version for 72 hours.
