# Retrieve account

Retrieves the details of an account.

## Returns

Returns an [`Account`](https://docs.stripe.com/api/accounts/object.md) object if the call succeeds. If the account ID does not exist, this call raises [an error](https://docs.stripe.com/api/errors.md).
