# Agentic Commerce Protocol

Use the Agentic Commerce Protocol to enable AI agents to complete purchases on behalf of buyers.

The [Agentic Commerce Protocol](https://agenticcommerce.dev) (ACP) is an open standard created by Stripe, OpenAI, and Meta that defines how AI agents interact with businesses to complete purchases on behalf of buyers. ACP defines composable building blocks for agent-driven commerce:

- **Agentic checkout**: Create, update and complete checkout sessions with cart management, fulfilment options and payment processing
- **Cart and feed**: Browse product catalogues and manage shopping carts before checkout
- **Delegate payment**: Securely pass payment tokens between buyers, agents and businesses using payment handlers
- **Delegate authentication**: Delegate authorisation with OAuth 2.0 and allow agents to act on a buyer’s behalf with a business.
- **Orders and webhooks**: Use webhooks to track lifecycle updates for order confirmation, shipping, delivery and refunds.
